Capitol Hill Healthcare welcomes back visitors

Capitol Hill Healthcare is excited to announce the return of in-person visitation for residents and their loved ones. Montgomery County and our facility have met the criteria recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Alabama for re-opening long-term healthcare facilities to visitors.

As of Oct. 13, outdoor visits with residents are allowed in the Veranda Courtyard on the High Street side of the building. Visiting hours are Tuesday and Wednesday, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. All visitors must call 334-834-2920 at least 24 hours in advance to reserve a time. Due to each resident’s specific medical needs, not all residents will be eligible for modified visitation. Please contact Capitol Hill to learn more.

The courtyard area has been specially prepared to ensure the continued health of our residents and their guests. It is important to make this process as safe as possible. Therefore, visitors should allow time to undergo required temperature checks and COVID-19 screening before their scheduled visit.

Capitol Hill asks that visitors with headache, fever, congestion, cough, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, shortness of breath, sore throat or chest pain not come to the facility while they have symptoms. Additionally, please wait 10 days after the onset of symptoms before visiting. To learn more about what to expect during a visit, click here.

We understand the importance of in-person visits to our residents and their families. We’re looking forward to seeing more Capitol Hill loved ones and friends again. We want everyone to have a great visit and we encourage gifts and care packages. Below, are a few gift ideas for residents.
